Categorisation of private rooms
Our private rooms and farmhouses are identified as follows
Edelweiss – what’s that all about? The edelweiss symbol is given to landlords who have been evaluated by the Salzburg Provincial Association of Private Landlords.
- Houses with 2 edelweiss (holiday apartment)
- Houses with 3 edelweiss (holiday apartment)
- Houses with 4 edelweiss (holiday apartment)
Rooms
2 edelweiss offers you the following amenities
- Single room at least 10 m2
- Double room at least 15 m2
- Bed size 190x90 cm or 200x90 cm.
- Rooms with WC and shower or bath.
- 75 % of all rooms must be deluxe rooms.
- One parking space for each room (except in town)
- Telephone (metered)
- Extended breakfast
- Must have lounge with TV and radio
- Provincial building regulations must be observed
3 edelweiss offers you the following amenities
- Single room at least 10 m2
- Double room at least 20 m2 incl. bathroom
- Bed size 190x90 cm or 200x90 cm
- Radio and hairdryer in every room, sufficient matching coat hangers (no wire hangers), sewing kit
- Lounge with television set (satellite or cable) and radio, games and books
- Parking space for each room (except in town)
- Lawn with garden furniture in good condition
- WC and shower/bath in room (no shower curtain)
- Fax machine and metered telephone
- Clean, refuse sorting facilities
- Extended breakfast
- Provincial building regulations must be observed
4 edelweiss offers you the following amenities
- Single room min. 10 m2
- Double room at least 20 m2 incl. bathroom
- Bed size 200x90cm
- Television set in every room (satellite or cable TV)
- Radio alarm and TV socket
- Fax machine and metered telephone
- Sufficient matching coat hangers, one-piece mattresses and slatted bed frame, wardrobe
- Parking space for each room (except in town)
- WC, shower or bath, hairdryer and sewing kit in room
- Lounge with radio, games, books and other light reading matter
- Flower arrangements and environmental awareness (refuse sorting facilities), lawn with garden furniture in good condition
- Bathroom with separate WC wherever possible
- Extended breakfast

Holiday Apartments
with 2 edelweiss offer the following amenities
- Bed size at least 190x90 cm or 200x90 cm
- Minimum size of apartment for 2 or more persons: 30 m2
- Minimum size of apartment for 3 or more persons: 40 m2
- Minimum size of apartment for 4 or more persons: 50 m2
- Parking space per apartment (except in town)
- Metered telephone
- WC and shower or bath in every apartment (no shower curtains)
- Radio and television in each apartment
- Provincial building regulations must be observed
with 3 edelweiss offer the following amenities
- Bed size at least 190x90 cm or 200x90 cm
- Minimum size of apartments as with 2 edelweiss
- Sufficient matching coat hangers in every apartment (no wire hangers)

Criteria for Specialised Lodging Establishments
Child-Friendly Establishments
- Cot, high chair, baby monitor (to borrow)
- Toilet seat, changing area
- Child-safe electrical outlets
- Play facilities, toys or play room
- Play area with play equipment in garden
- No exposed danger areas (pond, busy road, etc.)
- Fenced garden, possibly with paddling pool
- Children’s discounts desirable
- Child-friendly accommodations have a symbol next to them for special identification
Cyclist-Friendly Establishments
- Cyclists are always sincerely welcome
- Cyclist-friendly landlords provide bike stands in the garden
- Lockable room to keep bikes in
- Repair kit for dealing with small problems
- Information on cycle paths, sights worth seeing etc. available in-house
- Guests welcomed even for just one night
- Assistance in finding other accommodations if establishment is fully booked
- Substantial breakfast fine-tuned for cyclists!
- Private rooms suitable for cyclists have a symbol next to them for special identification
