GASTI Club Dorfgastein
GASTI – A drop of water with a head on its shoulders....
A high-spirited water droplet is about to conquer Gastein, a mascot that’s sure to be a source of fun for young and old. Gasti, the new pride and joy of the Gastein Valley, will add even more zest to the family opportunities available in this Alpine valley.
Gastein, the valley of mountains and spas, has always been regarded as a family-friendly vacation paradise. For as long as we can remember, we have placed great store in taking good care of the little ones, ensuring that “the holiday-makers of tomorrow” also feel right at home. “GASTI”, a fantasy figure, the water droplet with a mountain hair-do, the perfect embodiment of Gastein’s alpine and aquatic world.
The new mascot’s appeal to our younger guests, in particular, has already been confirmed by a survey conducted at Gastein’s ski schools. Virtually all of the kids expressed their enthusiasm for the “drop of water with a head on its shoulders”.
And so, this fun, occasionally silly droplet will provide humour and great tips for your upcoming holidays, ensuring that young and old feel warmly welcomed in our family-friendly Gastein Valley.
Summertime fun at its most spectacular!
While mom and dad are relaxing or taking a tour of the sights, things at the GASTI Kids Club are just getting started: Have you ever mixed your own cocktails, or maybe bumped into a real castle ghost?
Win great prizes at the Kids Olympics and search for sparkling gems during a treasure hunt! So, ready for some action? Then simply join the club – either you’re already staying at a participating GASTI establishment (see the address list below), or your parents can pay your membership fee for you.
We’ll get things going again on June the 30th and will run until August 29th 2008, from Monday to Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (with a one-hour break for lunch). And of course, lunchtime child care is also available if you need it.
For our very littlest guests (ages 3 and up), we host our Fairy Tale Weeks from September 1st until Sept.12th 2008. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, we tell fairy tales, play games and get involved with crafts projects from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. We share our stories at alpine huts, in the mountains, on lakes and rivers, in restaurants, on the meadows and in the forests...You’ll hear fairy tales of all kinds, from those famous ones brought to us by the Brothers Grimm, to the mystical legends of Gastein itself ...
NEW: This year there is our super cool GASTI Teen´s Club - Paragliding, Beachvolleyball and Aqua Splash - much fun and action is on the program for our teens from 9-14 years.
Children ages 4 to 14, staying at participating GASTI establishments, can join us free of charge. In all other cases, GASTI will go ahead and collect a daily fee to cover our staffing costs.
