Parish Church of "St. Rupert and Virgil"
Early Gothic building dating from 1350. From old grew new – especially cautious hands were at work during restoration of the church: The high altar, which is of particular art-historical significance, was reassembled from its original ancient components. Valuable statues, along with an especially beautiful high altar. A church guidebook is available for a small charge at the tourist office.
Roman Tower
Dorfgastein's trademark building from the year 1340. This orphaned old tower in the centre of the town - next to the Hotel Römerhof - originally belonged to one of the oldest taverns in the Gastein Valley. Nowadays, its lovingly restored walls are home to a stylish cocktail bar and a two-storey wedding suite.
